Recognizer by Martin Blass (thechoozen)
Original bit-tech article: Here
The Blass brothers were nominated for last year's Mod of the Year award for their Cosmos Dragon case mod;a dark, acrylic-clad PC that bristled with luminous green acrylic and custom water-cooling components. Being a professional modding team, and owners of a modding store, they also churned out quite a few mods this year, but one purely scratch-built mod really caught our eye.
The TRON-inspired Recognizer looks nothing like your average PC. With its large, exposed reservoirs and compact size, it looks more like the sort of ghastly weapon of mass destruction that the MI5 Spooks team come across on a daily basis. It's also one of the best examples of immense skill with acrylic that we've seen emerge from the Blass workshop.
What's really hard to believe, though, is that the mod went from start to finish in less than five months, despite the huge amount of work that's evident in the project log. Built as a part of a competition, the process also involved many weeks away at modding events, so the total time spent working on Recognizer was actually far less than this. In any case, it's one of the finest scratch-built PCs on show this year.
